Description

The navigation between the different "panes" of VSC works nicely, except from the terminal: I do not manage to leave the "bottom terminal" using ctrl-w + k, it seems like the ctrl-w is not intercepted, and only a k is printed on the terminal, instead of moving to the pane over it.

Any way to navigate from the integrated terminal back to the text editing with keys only?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the key sequence in the VS Code integrated terminal and compare it with navigation from a text editor pane. Trace the TypeScript keybinding and terminal-handling entry points to determine why Ctrl-W is not intercepted. Done means Ctrl-W followed by K moves from the terminal to the pane above without printing k in the terminal.
