Description

So, I tried to input § via Ctrl-K SE and it works just nicely in the buffer. But when trying to search for it I weren't able to press Ctrl-K in the cmdline. It doesn't matter if I'm in search or command mode.

Expected behavior
I expect it to work as in vim: that Ctrl-K works in the cmdline as well.

  • Extension (VsCodeVim) version: 1.18.5
  • VSCode version: 1.52.1
  • OS: Windows 10

Research direction

No source file or test is identified; start by tracing VSCodeVim's cmdline input handling for search and command modes, then compare it with the existing Ctrl-K behavior in the buffer. Done means Ctrl-K can enter the § digraph in both cmdline modes, with coverage for the reported Windows/VSCode scenario.
