Description

It would be great to be able to resize splits in a way similar to the tmux way. I.e.:

Ctrl-w+{hjkl}, i.e.:

  • press ctrl and keep it pressed all the way
  • press w
  • pressing {hjkl} moves the border of the splits

(note: this would complement nicely the already implemented:

  • press crtl
  • press w
  • release crtl
  • press {hjkl} to move between splits)

Research direction

No files or tests are named. Start by tracing the existing Ctrl-W split-navigation handling described in the issue, then identify how split-border resizing can be invoked for h, j, k, and l while Ctrl remains pressed. Done means the four key combinations resize the relevant split without breaking the existing navigation behavior; add or update coverage if the existing keybinding tests are found.
