Description

Alt+up/alt+down arrow moves the current line up or down, respectively, or multiple lines up/down when multiple lines are selected (I have them remapped to alt+k and alt+j, but it shouldn't matter). The problem is, when I am in visual line mode, select multiple lines, and press alt+j or k, then escape to get out of visual line mode, the cursor returns to the position where it was before I pressed alt+j or k.

Research direction

No file or test is named in the issue. First reproduce the problem in visual line mode by moving selected lines with Alt+up/Alt+down, or the remapped Alt+k/Alt+j, then press Escape. Done means the cursor remains at its corresponding position after the selected lines move.
