Description

Describe the bug
While using a collaborative VS Live Share view for the workspace, the editor jumps back and forth from top to cursor over and over.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start collaborative live share
    image
  2. Open editor using VIM mode as host
  3. Navigate to the bottom of a long file
  4. Notice view port does not follow and jumps from top back to the cursor position

Expected behavior
Anyone that is connected to the shared session and "following" the host should always be at their cursor position.

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • Extension (VsCodeVim) version: 1.2.0
  • VSCode version: 1.32.3
  • OS: 10.14

Research direction

No source file or test is named. Reproduce the issue with VSCodeVim 1.2.0, VS Code 1.32.3, Vim mode, and a long file during a collaborative Live Share session, then trace the following and viewport behavior. Done means a connected participant following the host remains at the cursor without repeated jumps.
