Description

Describe the bug
When my cursor is in one place, and I shift+click to highlight a region, this usually fails the first time. The second time it often works.

  • Extension (VsCodeVim) version: v0.16.3
  • VSCode version: v1.27.0
  • OS: macOS

Research direction

Begin by reproducing the first-attempt failure with VSCodeVim v0.16.3 on macOS and VSCode v1.27.0. The issue names no file, test, or entry point, so trace the relevant shift-click and selection handling before changing anything. Done means a shift+click selects the intended region on its first attempt; add a regression test if the existing test structure supports it.
