Description

The conceptualizing tickets related to the scientific processes have gotten out of hand. This ticket is intended to track all that we have going on and provides an index where you can quickly reference important discussions.

The scientific modeling can be broadly subdivided according to two disciplines: hazard and economic. Since we have opted to use StormSim but it is currently written in MATLAB, it requires an adaptation to be compatible with the CHART framework.

This ticket on the StormSim Development board overviews tasks related to this adaptation process.

@noarevalo-bah and I have moving toward subdividing the data requirements to the hazard modeling into four categories. These categories and the relevant ticket tracking their conceptualization should be below.

  1. Storm https://github.com/USACE/chart-docs/issues/433
  2. Coastal System Response https://github.com/USACE/chart-docs/issues/434
  3. Run Conditions https://github.com/USACE/chart-docs/issues/434
  4. Asset Inventory https://github.com/USACE/chart-docs/issues/462

TODO - more on this tomorrow
