Description

This is more for the sphere_instructors repo, but when students' XDCs expire (two weeks without starting a lab), their XDC expires. If grades are pulled afterwards, they will get 0/100 for each lab because the xdc is inaccessible. Add a change to the grading script that will automatically re-create their XDC if it doesn't exist.

Research direction

The issue points to the grading script and notes that the relevant work may belong in the sphere_instructors repository. Start by locating the code that pulls grades and handles inaccessible XDCs, then trace how XDCs are created. Done means a missing or expired XDC is recreated before grades are pulled instead of producing 0/100.
