https://github.com/UCL/STIR/blob/5c4b08ed2f9a2cde748dc00b46378485ad2821db/src/IO/GEHDF5Wrapper.cxx#L420 should set the radionuclide. Relevant fields in the RDF header are ExamData/radionuclideName and ExamData/halfLife.
