Description
While reporting issue I noticed
Love turf? Please consider supporting our collective:
https://opencollective.com/turf/donate is not explaining what happens with funds, https://github.com/Turfjs/turf/blob/master/OPEN_COLLECTIVE.md has "Development goals for Turf.js in the coming year" from 2017 what makes other info presented there likely heavily outdated/wrong
Currently it looks like there was attempt to get funding for Turf and it failed to succeed ("corporate sponsors who use XYZ in revenue-generating ways" are notoriously hard to convince), and it is not clear at all what would happen with donated funds.

Research direction
Review OPEN_COLLECTIVE.md and the linked OpenCollective donation page, checking which funding information is outdated and what explanation is missing. Done means the documentation and donation page clearly describe what donated funds support, with obsolete development goals removed or updated.
