Description
Please check for a duplicate first
- I have checked the issue tracker if my bug has already been fixed or answered in another (possibly closed) issue.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- try installing the app at all on Windows 10 IoT LTSC using the .appinstaller or MSIX
- Try launching the program
- lose your mind as all you see is a white bar before it refuses to launch
- if installing manually with powershell, install the UI.Xaml and VCLibs stuff first
- go insane
Expected results
- Open a simple streamlined Setup file that just plain out works
Actual results
agony. i had to use a release from 2018 for this app to work.
Windows version
Windows 10 2004-22H2 (builds 19041-19045)
Other details
OS: Windows 10 IoT LTSC, this program completely works, but it is a complete lack of any standalone installer that completely breaks the application with newer builds, i dont understand if this is an exclusivity deal with microsoft but this issue could be avoided if there was a fallback setup program you could use, ive personally had to use EXE installers for programs with appinstaller files because they plain out do not work because of microsofts telemetry i believe

Research direction
Start by reproducing the .appinstaller or MSIX installation and launch failure on Windows 10 IoT LTSC builds 19041-19045, including the manual PowerShell dependency installation described in the issue. Inspect the application's installer and packaging configuration; done means establishing a working installation path or documenting the confirmed compatibility limitation.
