Description

Is there any way to create a map would cover the entire pacific? Every map cuts off halfway through (eg you can't have Hawaii and Japan in the same view unless you have the entire world visible).

I've tried adjusting to a variety of tile servers, but none seem to work.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named in the issue. Start by reviewing the map widget implementation and tile-server handling, then reproduce a view containing Hawaii and Japan. Done means the widget can display that Pacific-spanning view without requiring the entire world to be visible.
