Description

More of a question than an issue. When configuring plugins, packer has the config option which I have been using to set up plugins. Neovim-from-scratch directly requires the configuration files. What are the advantages of using the after directory if any? I couldn't find a good discussion anywhere else.

Thanks for the great stuff!

Research direction

Start with the plugin configuration in init.lua and compare it with the linked Neovim-from-scratch init.lua. Focus on packer's config option and the after directory; done would mean documenting when each approach is appropriate and what advantages the after directory provides.
