Description
Title
the "|" charcter is not accessible when using Termix on MacOS, not in web based nor on brew installed app. In earlier versions an error occurred : arg(7)
Beta Build
v2.7.1
Platform
CLI - macOS
Server Installation Method
Docker
Does this happen on the latest stable release too?
Yes, also happens on stable (likely not beta-specific)
Troubleshooting
- I am running the
:betatag, a dated beta pre-release, or a CLI pre-release, not stable - I have examined logs and tried to find the issue
- I have restarted the application and the issue persists
- I understand beta builds are unstable and this may be a known issue
The Problem
I am using Termix on Linux, Windows and MacOs. As everyone knows, the "|" symbol is frequently used on the shell, but when working on my Mac, it simply does not appear on the shell when pressing "alt+7". in eralier version ist was displayed an error "arg(7)". Using Termix on Windows and Linux, bot local installed app or webversion, things are working equally normal and fine.
How to Reproduce
- log into a Mac
- Lauch Termix
- log into any hosts with a shell, mostly bash
- type | ( alt + 7 )

Research direction
Reproduce the issue in Termix on macOS using both the web-based and brew-installed app, connecting to a bash shell through the Docker server installation. Compare typing Alt+7 with the working Linux and Windows cases, including the earlier arg(7) behavior. Done means the pipe character appears normally and no arg(7) error occurs.
