Default New Host Settings for SSH

Is it related to an issue?
Whenever you create a new Host and set the SSH settings, it enables Status Checks and Metric Collections by default. I don't want/need that option on all configured hosts.
The Solution
Of course the solution is just to remember to uncheck those options on creation, but It would be nice to to have a "Default New Host Options" setting/settings to create like a template of sorts to have default options. Or maybe literally just have a template system to create new hosts and it could ask you if you would like to create from a template?
Either direction would be nice.
