Description

Some ProjectileModes currently will partially factor in the velocity of the NPC firing the projectiles into that of the spawned projectiles, which is undesirable in many circumstances, so having a new ProjectileMode(s) or any other method to remove this behavior would be ideal

  • ProjectileMode.SPREAD_FOUR_NO_INHERITANCE
  • ProjectileMode.SPREAD_FIVE_NO_INHERITANCE

Research direction

Start by locating the ProjectileMode definitions and the projectile-spawning logic that applies the firing NPC's velocity. Confirm how SPREAD_FOUR and SPREAD_FIVE currently inherit velocity; done means providing the requested no-inheritance modes, or an equivalent mechanism, with behavior that leaves spawned projectile velocity unaffected.
