Description
Built "0.9.12 git#0 x64-JIT SSE2" from source.
Using "Logitech, Inc. F710 Wireless Gamepad [XInput Mode]" for the joystick.
If I set one of the triggers to be the boost button, then the game is boosted unless the button is pressed.
It seems that other buttons do not have this issue and act as expected.

Research direction
Reproduce the issue using the listed DeSmuME build and Logitech F710 in XInput mode, with a trigger assigned to boost. No source file, test, or entry point is named, so first locate the joystick mapping and boost handling in the C++ code. Done means triggers behave like other buttons, with boost active only while the assigned trigger is pressed.
