Description
Summary
When running Donald Duck – Goin’ Quackers (USA) using the Mupen64Plus core, the game does not return control to the player after the introductory dialogue with Donald’s nephew. The character remains stuck, preventing gameplay from continuing. The same title runs as expected using the Ares64 core.
Repro
Open BizHawk.
Load the ROM: Donald Duck – Goin’ Quackers (USA).
Select the Mupen64Plus core.
Start the game and proceed to the point where Donald talks to his nephew at the beginning.
After the dialogue ends, observe that player control is never returned.
Expected Behavior
After the dialogue with Donald’s nephew, the player should regain control of Donald and be able to continue playing normally.
Output
No crash or error dialog is shown. The game simply remains unresponsive to player input.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue in BizHawk 2.10.1 with Donald Duck – Goin’ Quackers (USA) under the Mupen64Plus core, then compare the same sequence with Ares64. Done means control returns to Donald after the introductory dialogue and gameplay continues normally without external tools.
