Description
I was testing the movie recording feature and only for NSMB2 the regular edition and gold edition the movie desyncs during playback. In the regular version the movie desyncs around frame 400,000 and the second time on the same movie it desynced around 450,000. For the gold version which I recorded before recording using the regular rom the desync was earlier around frame 80,000 and the second time frame 60,000. To try and recorrect these playback issues I recorded the game again with tweaks: I deleted the SDMC, NAND and SYSDATA folders before recording, I made sure not to save and not to use a save state before the game saves. I also selected when recording "record using SRAM/savestate). During playback I also deleted those folders and I also made sure to pause the emulator at the start when recording and playing back. I am not sure fully what the issue is since I am a noob in these matters.
Interestingly, I recorded Sonic Generations 3DS that worked out fine with the slight tweaks used so I am not sure whether this is a rom compatibility issue. I also used the rerecord as well using quick states.

Research direction
The report names no file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing NSMB2 regular and gold edition movie playback desyncs at the reported frames, comparing recording and playback with the stated folder and SRAM/save-state conditions. Done means identifying the cause and confirming a reliable fix without desync.
