Description

Bizhawk version 2.7

In the Game BC Racers for 32X are several sound samples that should be played back but instead a high noise is audible.
The fastest way to reproduce this is to drive into pedestrians on the side of the first track. They are supposed to curse at you or something like that. There are other points in the game like a wooden bridge in a later level that also should play a sound sample.

Afaik no emulator currently emulates this game correctly in that regard. Picodrive on Retroarch actually plays the sound but then freezes. Gens doesnt play any sound, not even noise.

Would be really nice if Bizhawk would be the first one to fully support this game. Right now only real hardware can fulle represent that game.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue in BizHawk 2.7 with BC Racers 32X, especially the pedestrians on the first track and the wooden bridge mentioned in the report. Compare the result with real hardware and the other emulator behavior described; done means the affected sound samples play correctly without high noise or freezing.
