Description
(this happened to me a few times during the past month or so)
Bizhawk 2.4.2, playing a PSX game with TAStudio open. Branch 0 was mainly used, with a state around 80000th frame. Branch 1 was an old backup with a state from around 59000th frame.
Steps I took that caused Bizhawk to stop working:
- Rewind button was pressed frequently, possibly during loading of branches too.
- I loaded branch 1 by mistake and kept rewind button pressed, causing the movie to start playing from the beginning.
- After that, I loaded branch 0 and kept rewinding.
- While rewinding, suddenly Bizhawk decided to load the old state from branch 1. I'm 100% sure I didn't load branch 1 again by mistake (I was holding gamepad at the time, and I don't have "state 1 load" binded to my gamepad).
- I kept rewinding, and a few moments later "Bizhawk Has Stopped Working".

Research direction
The issue names no source file, test, or crash log. Start by reproducing the listed branch-loading and rewind sequence in BizHawk 2.4.2 with a PSX game and TAStudio open; done means the sequence no longer crashes and the unintended branch-state load can be explained or prevented.
