Description
The colour scheme on windows 10 is very difficult to read. Makes no difference which theme I choose or if high contrast is enabled. Only the selected area respects the windows theme.

Morrowinds Wrye MASH has a similar problem which was fixed in a fork to look like this

I've noticed the same issue in a few other programs too, guessing built on linux. Maybe there's an easy and elegant fix.

Research direction
Reproduce the illegible colour scheme on Windows 10 with dark and high-contrast themes, using the screenshots as the expected context. Then locate the desktop UI theme handling and determine which controls do not respect the Windows theme. Done means the interface text is readable across the reported theme settings.
