Describe the feature you'd like
Provide a formatting configuration that developers can use to produce a uniform format for the code.

  • Formatting checks should succeed before a PR can be merged
    • It may be possible to automatically format code on push as a workflow

Questions:

  • What formatter should be used?
    • Determined by what is supported by the most used VSCode extension
  • Should the license being at the top of files be checked by this workflow as well? (an idea I had during the meeting)
  • How to maintain a workflow like this across multiple repos?
  • How to format doxygen comments? (needs research)

  • Leave it as it is -> yippee
