Description
Describe the bug
When I try to edit text towards the end of a long post (or sometimes middle, for very long posts), my cursor disappears. Where exactly this happens seems to depend on where the scroll bar is.
I can't see where I'm typing except that text appears (or disappears, when backspacing), and trying to move around my cursor is hopeless because tapping doesn't make it appear and neither does holding the spacebar. I can't see if I have any text selected either (as I sometimes end up deleting the entire body of the post).
Appears to happen on both editor modes
@KyleMit reports: "seems to happen when clicking into a complicated node (table / codeblock) and cursor is never available after that, even when clicking elsewhere"
Expected behavior
Always see the cursor
Screenshots
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- User reported this happening on iOS 15.5-15.6 (possibly earlier), Google Chrome 103.0.5060.63, and Safari (latest)
- User noted: "I have not encountered this on desktop, which is the device I have to switch to in order to make edits."
- @KyleMit was able to repro on iPad

Research direction
Start by reproducing the disappearing cursor in both editor modes on iOS Chrome or Safari, especially after entering a table or code block and then tapping elsewhere. Compare behavior in short and long posts; done means the cursor remains visible and text selection remains usable while editing those posts.
