Description

Reported on MSE: Post 1, Post2

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The current resize handle is not obvious and implies horizontal resizing. Additionally, resizing on mobile is tough.

Describe alternatives you've considered

The old editor for Stack Overflow uses a "grippie" for vertical resizing. This may be a good alternative.

Research direction

Start by reading the linked Meta Stack Exchange posts and examining the editor's current resize handle implementation; the issue names no files or tests.
