Description

Hi, I am currently using Toxiproxy to simulate various network conditions for testing purposes. I would like to accurately simulate packet loss for an endpoint I am testing. I am looking for the recommended configuration settings to achieve a realistic simulation of packet loss.

Could you please provide the recommended configuration for simulating packet loss? Specifically, I am looking for guidance on:

  • Setting a realistic percentage of packet loss (e.g., 10%, 20%, etc.).
  • Any additional parameters or best practices to ensure accurate simulation.
  • Example commands to add the toxic for packet loss.

Thank you!

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by checking the existing Toxiproxy documentation and toxic configuration reference for packet-loss support; done would be a documented recommendation covering loss percentages, relevant parameters, and example commands.
