Description

In Ruby, users can use MyClass.singleton_class.include|prepend to extend MyClass's singleton class. This is sometimes used because:

  • MyClass.extend(Foo) includes Foo's methods but does NOT run included callback. So some users may use MyClass.singleton_class.include(Foo) as an alternative
  • MyClass.singleton_class.prepend(Foo) is the only way to extend the singleton class
