Description
I hope I can just use "//" to comment out a line or to add some comment to a line, but it seems to me {% comment %}{% endcomment %} is the only way to comment out something, which is a lot of typing. If it is true, is there any app or browser extension to make this a one-click thing?

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First determine whether the requested // syntax belongs in Liquid itself or whether the request is only for an editor or browser shortcut; done would require a decided scope and documented behavior.
