Description

This can be reproduced with

ode = ODEProblem(((du, u, ::Any, t) -> @. du = -u), ones(201), (0.0, 1.0))
sol = solve(ode; callback=PositiveDomain(abstol=1e-5), alg_hints=[:stiff])

or more directly with solve(ode, CVODE_BDF(); callback=PositiveDomain(abstol=1e-5))

Research direction

Start by running the provided Julia reproductions with PositiveDomain and CVODE_BDF, then trace the callback and integrator entry points involved in the reported missing dt field. Done means both examples run without the CVODEIntegrator dt error, with regression coverage for the reproduced behavior.
