Description
Due to the fact, that I get feedback just from few colleagues, who use plugin with latest SAP Commerce Cloud versions, I'm just thinking to get more details from other users about plugin usage. Then I could be able to use it to future development.
I was thinking collecting items like:
- platform version used in project
- editor usage
- no. times when impex editor has been opened
- x times when content assist has been used
- menu usage related to SAP features
- adding field for sending user feedback
There is no free platform available for that kind of functionality that is why I was wondering to build that based on Google Analytics. I have seen, that one Red Hat eclipse plugin is using that. it mimics browser and send metrics there.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First clarify the usage metrics to collect, the SAP Commerce Cloud versions to distinguish, and how Google Analytics would receive them; done means an agreed, privacy-aware analytics design with a defined feedback field and metric list.
