Description
Autograde seems to use an old version of unittest. The latest one has some great features like assertListEqual(). I know this might not be a main priority right now, but it would be great if it supported a more recent version.

Research direction
Start by locating the autograde component and identifying which Python unittest version it uses. Check how the runtime or dependency is selected, then verify the intended newer unittest features in the existing autograde tests. Done means autograde runs against the supported newer version and coverage confirms those features work.
