Description

Hello all.
When I rename an active channel, the changes are visible, and the channel can be found in the channel list with its new name. However, if people try to join, they get a message that the room cannot be found. If I undo the name change, the channel can be joined again. The strange thing is: Once somebody has been on the channel, they can join even when I rename the channel, even if they leave and come back. Does someone have an idea what the cause may be? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just noticed that all channels, which were unavailabe because of the renaming, are now reachable after I restarted the Rocketchat Server. However, this is not solved since I hardly can manually reset the server each time someone renames their channel.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the active-channel rename and join behavior on the reported Rocket.Chat version, then inspect the channel rename and join handling; done means renamed channels remain joinable without restarting the server.
