Description

Description:

There's a banner informing me of the new release 8.7.0. Since I never update to a .0 branch, I want to remove it. When I click the close X, an error popup appears:

Banner not found

Then after some seconds the banner re-appears.

Expected behavior:

I'd expect the banner to disappear like it always did in the past.

Actual behavior:

Research direction

Reproduce the release 8.7.0 banner on Rocket.Chat 8.6.1 using the listed browser and deployment setup. Inspect the code path triggered by the close X and the source of the “Banner not found” popup; done means closing the banner produces no error and it stays absent after waiting or reloading.
