Description

The thing is: I don't want these 4 links to spit out a whole vertical screen of completely useless "previews" ...

obrazek

... but when I turn off Collapse_Embedded_Media_By_Default, it will also hide/collapse embedded images by default.

Such collapsed images are then really easily overlooked. With collapsed link previews at least the URLs themselves remain in the text, but with collapsed images there's only a small visual cue:

The cue obrazek

Is there any way to keep images being visible-by-default but also hide (or completely disable) link previews at the same time?

P.S: In my experience URL/link previews in RocketChat are nothing else but screen-space eaters with no additional value, so if there could be an option to disable them altogether, then - as the old saying goes... - "that'd be great.".

Research direction

No files or tests are identified. Start by locating the Collapse_Embedded_Media_By_Default setting and the existing link-preview behavior; done means link previews can be hidden or disabled independently while embedded images remain visible by default.
