When a user deletes all messages within a thread, the participant count remains unchanged, failing to decrease by 1 reflecting the user's complete disengagement from the thread.

Steps to reproduce:
- Delete all messages from a thread.
- Observe that the participant count does not decrease as expected.
Expected behavior:
- it should have decreased by 1.
