Description
Description:
We have been experiencing an issue with the blue check mark colouring of read receipts in RocketChat. Not always, but sometimes when RocketChat users are corresponding, the blue label indicating that the message has been read by the recipient remains gray, although the user has read it. One can ascertain this by clicking "information" in the message's contextual menu.
Steps to reproduce:
This issue happens sporadically, and there's currently no consistent trigger that we've identified. Here are the general steps where we observe the issue:
- User A sends a message to User B.
- User B reads the message.
- Despite User B having read the message, the read receipt on User A's end remains grey sometimes, contrary to the expected blue colour.
Expected behavior:
When a message is read by the recipient, the label should change its colour from grey to blue reliably, indicating the message's read status accurately.
Actual behavior:
The read receipt sometimes does not change colour to blue even though the recipient has read the message.

- Operating System: Linux
- Deployment Method: Docker

Research direction
No source file, test, or code entry point is named. Start by reproducing the sporadic behavior with the listed Rocket.Chat 6.5.0, browser, and desktop configurations, then compare the receipt color with the message information view. Done means a read receipt reliably changes from gray to blue after the recipient reads the message.
