Description

Description:

The "Open video chat in the application window" button does not work, after version 3.8.7, the video chat began to open only in the browser. This is very inconvenient. The state of the button does not in any way affect where the video chat opens.

Steps to play:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Enable "Open video chat in the application window".
  3. Create a video chat and connect to it
  4. We see that the chat has opened in the browser, and not in the application window
Expected behavior:

The video chat will open in the application window, as in version 3.8.7

Actual behavior:

Video chat opened in the browser

Information about server setup:

I am an employee and do not have access to the RocketChat server

Client Setup Information

RocketChat 3.8.16
Windows 10 Corporate 21H2

Research direction

Start by reproducing the video chat flow with "Open video chat in the application window" enabled on RocketChat 3.8.16 under Windows 10, then trace where the setting and button behavior are handled. Done means the video chat opens in the application window instead of the browser when the setting is enabled.
