Description

Description:

If a user is mentioned within a subthread of a channel of which he isn's member, no notification is pushed to user.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. open channel
  2. open open new subthread
  3. mention a user which is no member of the channel
Expected behavior:

since user mention of channel nonmembers is pushed to user, I would expect the same if user mention happens within a subthread.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the notification behavior in a channel subthread where the mentioned user is not a member, then compare it with a direct channel mention to identify the differing notification path. Done means the mentioned nonmember receives the expected notification from the subthread, with coverage for the reported steps.
