Description

Description:

RC desktop has consistently high CPU usage causing laptop fans to spin. Screenshot shows 31% of one cpu used while RC is idling, but often % is much higher. Only 6 enabled users exist on this instance with low traffic.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Use RC desktop on Linux
  2. Check system resource usage
Expected behavior:

CPU usage under ~5%?

Actual behavior:

Typically above 30% and sometimes >double that.

Server Setup Information:
  • Version of Rocket.Chat Server: rocket chat hosted 3.9.3
Client Setup Information
  • Desktop App or Browser Version: 3.0.1
  • Operating System: Fedora desktop 33 Gnome x.org
Relevant logs:

ctrl+shift+j does nothing on my installation 🤷
