Description

Description:

When posting photos, after you click Done, it says "send to #general" and nothing ever happens. I'm thinking since other people don't have issues, it has something to do with accessibility settings. I don't see any way to get logs on the phone.

Environment Information:
  • Rocket.Chat Server Version: 6.0.x
  • Rocket.Chat App Version: 4.38.0.42195
  • Device Name: iphone 13
  • OS Version: 16.5
Steps to reproduce:

Select a photo to post to a channel and it hangs with "send to #general" and nothing ever happens. I guessing you also have to change some accessibility options as well.

Expected behavior:

Photo is posted to the chat room.

Actual behavior:

Hangs. Clicking on the X unlocks it.

Additional context:

Checked server and logs. When you click done, nothing appears in server debug logs. It works for other users. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Hasn't worked on my phone in many years. I always thought it was broken for everyone until I recently decided to look into it.

Research direction

Reproduce on an iPhone 13 running iOS 16.5 with app version 4.38.0.42195 by selecting a photo and pressing Done; confirm that it remains on “send to #general” and produces no server log entry. Done means the selected photo posts successfully to the channel, while cancelling with X remains functional.
