Description

There exists a field - incompleteUserDetails in user object. Currently, it has been set to false for the expected functioning of PATCH users/self route.

Below attached is the code which is not working as expected.

userRef.update({
'incompleteUserDetails': firestore.myFirestoreClass.FieldValue.delete()
}).then(()=>{
console.log('Should be deleted')
console.log(doc.data())
}).catch(e => {
console.error(e)
})

Solution for this issue would be highly appreciated.

Research direction

Start by tracing the PATCH users/self route and the User object handling described in the issue, then inspect how the Firestore update is performed. Confirm where incompleteUserDetails is introduced and define done as removing the field without breaking the route's expected behavior; no file or test is named, so the relevant coverage must first be located.
