Write Test for Authenticate Middleware

Issue Description

Currently, we don't have any test written for our authentication middleware, which is very critical for all features.

Expected Behavior

Test should verify and mock the middleware to check all the functionalities and edge cases.

Current Behavior

There are no existing test file for the /middlewares/authenticate.

Start by reading the /middlewares/authenticate middleware and compare it with nearby files under test/unit/middlewares. Add the missing authentication middleware test file with mocked behavior and coverage for its stated functionality and edge cases; done means the tests run successfully and cover the middleware paths.
