Description

1. Environment

  • Device: [Pixel 6]
  • OS: [Android 13]
  • APP: [0.9.6]

2. Describe the bug

In FreshRSS, I have a category of feeds that I don't want to see in my main feed, so I have its contents set to "Show In Its Category", where all the other feeds are set to "Show In Main Stream". In the FreshRSS web interface, this works correctly, these feeds are only visible if I choose to view this category.

However, in ReadYou, all feeds are shown in the main stream, regardless of setting. Is there something I can do (a setting I can change, etc), or is this just the expected functionality of the app?

Thanks!

Research direction

Start by tracing the FreshRSS synchronization and feed-visibility handling in the Android app, then compare the imported visibility data with the main-stream filtering behavior. Reproduce the setup described in the issue and verify that feeds marked “Show In Its Category” are excluded from the main stream while remaining visible in their category.
