Description

1. Environment

  • Device: [Pixel 6] OnePlus Nord N200
  • OS: [Android 13] LineageOS 21 (Android 14)
  • APP: [0.9.6] 0.11.0

2. Describe the feature request
Add the ability to parse YouTube links into RSS feeds in order to subscribe to YouTube channels. The feeder RSS reader already does this and I will leave an example channel and screenshot from feeder below for reference.

(I may not respond in a timely manner, but you will be notified when this issue is resolved or refused to be resolved.)

Channel URL: Watchman Privacy https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7v8AYjn--KZY0nJwsjxiIw

Research direction

Start by tracing how ReadYou parses URLs and creates RSS subscriptions, then compare the expected behavior with the linked Watchman Privacy YouTube channel and the Feeder example. Done means a YouTube channel URL can be parsed into a subscribable RSS feed without breaking existing feed handling.
