Description

1. Environment

  • Device: [Samsung SM-G980]
  • OS: [Android 10]
  • APP: [0.7.2]

2. Describe the bug

When searching certain keywords across 144 archived articles I get an error notification about the app failing to allocate X bytes (see attached screenshot) and then the app freezes. Wiping cache and force stopping the app (temporarily) resolves the issue but it eventually comes back again at later search attempts.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is identified in the report. Reproduce the search on Android 10 with 144 archived articles and the reported keywords, then trace the allocation failure and freeze from the error notification. Done means the search no longer fails to allocate memory or freezes the app, including on later searches.
