Description

See https://github.com/matiaslina/perl6-matrix-client. Freenode is bridged to matrix network, so chances are nobody will even notice the change.

IIRC messages through the matrix network (at least through matrix.org servers) tend to have relatively high delay. I hope it'll get better over time though.

Research direction

The issue names no repository files, tests, or entry points; begin by locating the current IRC client integration and reviewing the linked Matrix::Client project. Done means the bot uses Matrix::Client in place of the current client while preserving its existing behavior, but the issue does not define validation steps.
