Description

I got this error when trying to run the run.sh script on macOS:
Error: python@3.8 has been disabled because it is deprecated upstream! It was disabled on 2024-10-14.

Would everything still work with a more recent python version?

Research direction

Start by reading run.sh and identify where it requests Python 3.8, then check whether the script documents or assumes a specific supported version. Done means the macOS setup no longer depends on the disabled Python 3.8 and the script runs successfully with the selected newer version.
