I've been experiencing this exact issue on Windows 11: #1546
Unless UTF-8 is enabled in the operating system's region settings, the GUI of go-realtime-gui.bat immediately freezes when the user tries to start voice generation.
Since this isn't documented anywhere, shouldn't something be done about this?
Possible solutions:
- Remove the unsupported characters from the code.
- Have the console display an appropriate warning message so that users know what to do.
- Mention it in the README.md.
