Description

Description of errors

This is in regards to the AMD SMI Python API reference. For various APIs it mentions that it is not supported on virtual machine guest. Can you please elucidate what it implies by the same, what are the valid platforms where I can use it. Can I use them over a GPU server let's say with user privilege, or in a virtual environment. Or do I need to use to it locally.

Attach any links, screenshots, or additional evidence you think will be helpful.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the AMD SMI Python API reference passages that say an API is unsupported on a virtual machine guest. Determine which platforms, GPU server configurations, user privileges, and virtual environments are supported, then document those conditions and examples in the relevant API reference.
