Description

Just a suggestion but to keep things clean, it would be nice if branches were auto-deleted after PRs were merged. This is non-destructive as branches can easily be re-opened.

This is a setting that can only be changed by a repo admin. Instructions to do so are here.

  3. Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
  4. Open a pull request that references the issue number.

Research direction

Review the linked GitHub documentation on managing automatic branch deletion, then open the repository settings and check the pull request merge options. Done means the setting is enabled and branches are automatically deleted after pull requests are merged.
